Maria de Barros is indeed a total package: Beautiful, intelligent, an angelic voice, extraordinary performer with a stage presence and certain magnetism which draws people to her world.
Ever since the release of her first CD, Nha Mundo, Maria has taken on the world stage, body and soul, to promote the music and culture of her country. Her second CD, Dança ma mi, came as a consecration that Cabo Verde has a new music diva to reckon with. Now having crisscrossed the world performing over the years, Maria released Morabeza, a CD offering a smorgasboard of various rhythms from her homeland.
