Nado presents Rebeca Mauleón

Based in San Francisco, pianist, vocalist, bandleader, musical director, composer, arranger, producer, lecturer, author and journalist, Rebeca Mauleon has dedicated much of her life and 30-years music career to the study of Afro-Caribbean music, and now is arguably one of the United States’ leading authorities on the subject. In that pursuit, she developed a truly multifaceted career in which she shares her knowledge in numerous ways.

She follows a long-standing tradition of Afro-Cuban and Latin Jazz performers. She has recorded and performed with an array of Grammy-winning legends including Tito Puente, Carlos Santana,
Israel “Cachao” Lopez, Giovanni Hidalgo, Carlos Patato, Steve Winwood, Joe Henderson and Mickey Hart.

Rebeca will be my guest on Africa Mix, Thursday, October 1 at 9:00PM. Tune into the conversation with this multifaceted prolific artist.
