Born in Constantine, Algeria—and currently residing in Quito, Ecuador—Sarazino, the son of a diplomat, is a global artist who lived in many countries and continents. He blends elements of Latin pop, reggae, funk, African and Arabic music to creates a globalized world music.
Sarazino's new release Ya Foy! features guest musician appearances from Jamaica, Africa and Latin America. Ya Foy! is an incredible musical project which is taking Sarazino on a North America tour this summer for the first time, performing at celebrated venues, including San Jose Music in the Park Festival, San Francisco’s Stern Grove Festival, the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, and Montreal's Nuits d’Afrique, as well as sharing bills with superstars such as Mos Def, Angélique Kidjo and the Skatalites.
